Vulci is an ancient Etruscan city that is located in the territory of today's Montalto di Castro, in the province of Viterbo in the Lazio maremma. Despite being relatively far from the Sea (it is located on a calcareous platform along the right bank of the river Fiora) was one of the largest city-State in Etruria with a strong seafaring and commercial development with Greece and the East, as evidenced by the lavish funerary objects found in the adjacent necropolis and now scattered in museums around the world.
