La Mandria regional park is situated between the river Stura di Lanzo and the urbanised area to the Northwest of Turin and Venaria Reale. Was established in 1978 by the Piedmont region. Thanks to the long wall built in mid ' 800 by Victor Emmanuel II, the Park of the herd is now the largest walled Park of Europe. The fenced area amounts to about 3000 acres. Within the park lies the castle of the herd, a well defined by UNESCO. In addition there is also the castle of lakes, small building which was the hunting of King Victor Emanuel II reposoir. The herd is important to point out how this is organised within it: visiting his ways specifically dedicated to give "green days" to citizens who wish to visit it, you can find restaurants, farmhouses with horses, spiazzi di vacant lots with free livestock and finally some points, reported on special maps within the herd, dedicated to bicycles and anything that might be useful to visit the parks.
