Description
The Agriturismo Palazzo Vecchio is part of a real farm, run at a family level.
The old barn has been recently renovated in order to accommodate guests. We are located in the open countryside, near the village of Borgo San Lorenzo, 30 kilometers from Florence, and close to the Mugello International Circuit, owned by Ferrari.
Located in a central area of the green valley of Mugello, in Tuscany, on a lowland bordered to the east by the Ensa river, the farmhouse enjoys excellent tranquility, although relatively close to Borgo San Lorenzo.
On the farm there is a restaurant, available to guests but also to the public, where it is possible to eat and taste typical Mugello and farm dishes.
The Palazzo Vecchio Farmhouse offers its customers 21 beds, arranged in 2 distinct structures: 'La Casa Colonica' and 'Il Fienile'.
Next to the house there is a beautiful swimming pool of 13x5 meters at the complete disposal of guests only, who can also enjoy the barbecue. Private parking is at the complete disposal of guests.
It is obviously possible to take guided tours of the farm because ours is a real farm: there are calves, donkeys, ponies, chickens and geese, turkeys, doves, rabbits and pigs, but our pride is the dairy cows selected to produce the 'Selezione Mugello' milk for the nearby 'Mukky' milk plant in Florence. In our 'Bottega a km0' it is possible to buy typical products of the farm and the area, such as cheese, joghurt, honey, oil, wine, seasonal vegetables and much more.
You can enjoy a quiet, relaxing holiday, without having to give up the most beautiful cities of art: Florence (about 30 km away) can be reached in just over half an hour by car and the train (station in Borgo San Lorenzo) even takes you directly to the historic center of Florence.
The main center of Mugello is Borgo San Lorenzo.
For tourists who spend their holidays in the region, the town reserves several suggestions, such as the Monastery of Santa Caterina and the Romanesque abbey that preserves a Madonna attributed to Giotto.
A short distance away is Vicchio, the birthplace of the famous painter. Here too the atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing, as you can understand by walking through the suggestive streets of the center.
