The Lago del Salto was created by a large dam and is the largest reservoir of Lazio. Has the coast very jagged and occupies the Valley where once ran the Creek of the same name. It is roughly the same height of Lago del Turano from which is divided from the slopes of Mount Navegna and connected to it via a channel. To see: Borgo San Pietro and the other villages that were submerged by the waters and reconstructed on the banks like Teglieto, Fiumata and Sant'Ippolito. Further up along the slopes of Mount Nuria are the centers of Petrella Salto and Fiamignano. At the villages of Fiumata and Borgo San Pietro (both along the northern shores) allows access to the coast through bathing beaches and enhance tourist equipment rental too such as umbrellas, deck chairs, pedal boats and canoes. In recent years the basin became an important point of reference for lovers of wakeboarding. Several prestigious national and international competitions, including the European Championships, are held right in the Lago del Salto.
