Tempio Pausania is the capital of the province of Olbia Tempio, Olbia, in Sardinia. Situated in the wonderful Gallura, the area is well known for the extraction and processing of Cork and granite. Typical palaces of granite blocks, closely resemble those you can see in Southern Corsica. The city tour can start from the Cathedral and the Oratorio del Rosario, built in the XV century and preserves still the belfry and the portal, before being rebuilt in the 17th century. The Cathedral was dedicated to Saint Peter and holds two lignacei altars carved preciously. A few kilometers from the village, Monte Limbara, offers a truly fascinating natural landscape, with ponds and sources. Notable is the Carnival celebrations which last for about a week and that each year attracts thousands of people from all over Sardinia and beyond.
