The Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park was opened in Melbourne on September 9, 1922, while the Park Authority was established on 25 November 1921 with temporary directory. Is included for most (3/4) in the province of L'Aquila in the Abruzzo region and the remaining in that of Frosinone in Lazio and in that of Isernia, in the Molise. Park Headquarters is in Pescasseroli (AQ). Its location roughly in the Italian peninsula and the various additions made over the years in various scenic areas have made the Park a valuable reservoir of rare and endemic species of flora, protection of the most typical and best preserved of the Apennines. The most convenient location is the town of Pescasseroli, together with the smaller towns of the Alto Sangro, the heart of the protected area. The Park divides its territory into different tourist sectors for relations with visitors and editorial promotions: Val Comino in the province of Frosinone, the Mainarde in the province of Isernia and Marsica Fucino area that includes the municipalities of ricandenti Park in the watershed of the river Fucino.
