Massa is a town in the Italian province of Massa-Carrara in Tuscany. The city extends around a small medieval centre next to the Castle, surrounded by the urban development dating back to the 16th century, to the current marina. Welding at the foot of the Apuan Alps, Massa sits at the mouth of the Valley of the frigidus and five kilometres from the sea. A part of the municipality called Marina di Massa extends towards the coastline and includes a series of beaches covered with sand or rocks. Everywhere the waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea are crystal clear and full of colorful fish: swim between the waves and then retired on the beach, it's a pleasure so relaxing to erase every trace of discontent. Not to be missed is the historical center of the city in which one breathes a relaxing breeze and where you can visit the Cathedral dedicated to Saint Peter and Saint Francis, Doge's Palace overlooking Piazza Aranci, and numerous other architectural wonders.
