The Comunità Montana Stilaro-Allaro-Limina is bounded on the East by the waters of the Ionian Sea and to the West by the Calabrian Apennines Greenhouses. The flora is composed mainly by spruce, beech and chestnut. At 1200 m flows the water source Mangiatorella. In the area of Bivongi contains the Marmarico waterfall. In autumn you can a collection of high quality mushrooms: porcini, Royal agarics coupons and tacks. In the Valley there are cultivations of olive groves and vineyards. Finally on the coast we find citrus groves. As for the fauna there is the presence of: buzzards, woodpeckers, thrushes, pheasants, partridges, wild boars, foxes, Martens, badgers and dormice. The river Stilaro there are herds of sturgeon and trout. In every country of the mountain community there are ancient places of worship by the great artistic and cultural value. Among the most important are the Greek Orthodox Monastery of San Giovanni Theristis of Bivongi, Caulonia Norman castle, the chapel of Santa Maria della Stella of Pazzano, and especially the Cattolica of Stilo, an ancient Byzantine Church still in perfect structural condition with all original artifacts.
