Description
Our farm is located on the rolling hills of Lake Trasimeno at 300 meters above sea level. The Bittarelli family has lived and worked on this land since 1940, first as farmers and since 1970 as owners.
Thus was born the family-run Bittarelli Farm, which covers about 30 hectares and uses the organic method and land rotation for its productions, to obtain a quality harvest.
Since 2003, together with the cultivation of lentils and cannellini and borlotti beans, we have started the production of small national chickpeas, spelt, barley, grass peas and Fagiolina del Trasimeno, an ancient legume that has found in these places the ideal climate and soil to become a unique and high quality product, protected by the Fagiolina del Trasimeno Consortium. It is characterized by its color, white or polychromatic, its small size and its unique and delicate taste.
The bean is harvested by hand and the cultivation is carried out in full respect of the environment.
In addition to legumes and dried cereals, we have created the line of 'I Già Pronti', soups, soups and legumes, immediately ready and quick to enjoy, prepared according to our traditional recipes. Excellent for preparing first courses, side dishes or as a combination with other dishes. Without preservatives, they are genuine and natural products.
Since 2017, our products have been VeganOk certified, which guarantees the consumer precise ethical and environmental characteristics. Organic and in-conversion products are certified by Bioagricert.
If you are looking for an original idea for a gift, we offer you three imaginative personalized boxes, printed on a beautiful recycled cardboard, in two sizes to contain all the goodness of Bittarelli and Trasimeno.
We deliver and ship our products, packages and gift baskets throughout Italy and abroad.
Since 2013 the Agricola has also been an Educational Farm with the aim of offering children and adults active educational activities, through practical experiences, to make known and pass on the trades of farmers and the peasant world, the products of the garden and other crops, respect for the environment, knowledge of typical and genuine productions and their tasting.
